Laura Hyatt-Phillips, Cleaner: 2024 – Present

To help us celebrate 35 fantastic years of success at North Hertfordshire College, Laura, one of our cleaners from Kindred Facilities Management, got in touch to share her birthday message.

Check out what she sent us below:

“This is my first actual job. I’ve been working here for almost two years now, and I think my main highlight has been helping to maintain the College’s high standard of cleanliness. Although the work is hard, it’s always nice to see how I’ve helped keep the spaces clean at the end of my shifts.

“I hope that by keeping their learning environment clean, the students understand the impact of cleaners and see us as real people!

“I’m so grateful for my role at the College as it means I can earn money to support all my animals. I rescue and adopt guinea pigs from neglectful situations; I once had 26 of them in my care.

“I’d like to give a big shoutout to all the staff and students who put their rubbish in the bin!”
