How did NHC support you in preparing for your current course?

“When I started at North Hertfordshire College, I was a very anxious student. But the course enabled me to build confidence and learn new skills.

“I had amazing tutors, who were able to support me throughout my classroom learning and enabled me to gain work experience which helped me with my university application. I had always wanted to be a midwife and when I told my tutors about this goal, they made sure that I would get to where I am now.

“I was also very excited to come back to NHC to teach current Health & Social Care students about Midwifery at the University of Hertfordshire.”

What skills that you learnt at NHC do you use in your current course?

“Mainly key anatomy and physiology concepts, I have furthered my understanding of these at university.”

What’s your favourite memory of your time at NHC?

“The entire Health and Social Care class felt like a family. Everyone was so kind and supportive, including our tutors.

“We were all there for one another, and I wish the best to each and every one of them.”

Would you like to give a shoutout to any tutors, staff or friends from your time at NHC?

“Huge shoutout to Cheryl Hall and Anna Copper for encouraging and supporting me to get where I am today.”
